The Almejar 2030 game was initially designed and tested as a board and card game.

The digitization and availability of the game, in open access, online and multilingual, has multiple advantages:

- possibility of being played by players located in different parts of the world, even very far apart from each other, as long as they have access to the internet.

- Possibility to be used and played in different language communities.

- availability of all game materials in an integrated way: images that represent scenarios, characters and sudden events; explanations about conflicting situations; random number generator; timer counting down 30 minutes.

- direct access, via hyperlink, to additional information on conflict situations (scenarios).

- availability of visual materials to print and play without internet access.

However, the game can also be played offline.
